Taking the bus

The best to get around the island is via the local bus.  The streets are narrow, winding, and steep in some places, and the buses are sized to fit.  Even at that it is a tight squeeze at times.  Monday we took the bus to Anacapri, which is near the top of the other peak on the island.  I'll post about Anacapri later.  We ended up buying a day pass and took the bus several times.  Below you can see just how closely they fit the road.  In fact, once we had to back up to let the opposing traffic past.  Some sections are only one vehicle wide.
