Destination Italy

This blog is for our family and friends who want to follow along with us as we explore Italy over the next two weeks.  We are very excited to be taking this trip, as it is the first two week holiday we have taken in about 15 years!  We are really looking forward to relaxing and unwinding from everyday life.

I am writing this first post from the United Club where we are waiting to start our journey. Our itinerary takes us non-stop from Houston to Paris via Air France, then change planes to Rome, and change again to Naples.  We will arrive in Naples Sunday early afternoon and make our way to the docks and board a hydrofoil to the Island of Capri.  We spend two nights on Capri (getting in vacation mode), and Tuesday will hydrofoil to Sorrento and join our land tour.  The land tour plan is shown on the map below.  We start with 3 nights in Sorrento, Eurostar trains between stops with three nights at each stop.  

I plan to post each day with our experiences and impressions.  I hope those of you who follow us will enjoy our little travel blog.
